Too Much Awesome For One Person…

…yet I’m reluctant to share.

I love gummy bears.  When I was on my mission, a small candy store opened in Maseru, Lesotho that sold American gummy bears.  Sure, they were insanely expensive, but I bought them anyway because I love gummy bears.

Last night I was in class and one of my friends mentioned how a half-pound gummy bear exists.  And to make it even better, it’s on a stick!  That’s right, there is a gummy bear on a stick that weighs a half of a pound.  The gummy bear on a stick measures in at four inches tall and is the equivalent of 88 regular gummy bears.  What’s not to like about that?  The answer: nothing.

Best. Cover. Ever.

This is the best thing I’ve seen on YouTube in a long time.  I guarantee that it is the best thing you’ll probably see today.

For The Husbands

I only have a moment but I wanted to post this very funny video.  It is a song comprised of things to not say to your wife.  If you have ever said any of these, I’d love to hear about it.

The Spring Recital

Emma at her recitalEmma has been playing the piano for about two years.  In that time, she has gotten quite good.  Her piano teacher always tells me how much she enjoys teaching Emma because she has a natural ability that makes her very fun to teach.

Tonight was the spring recital where all of the students get together to show off what they’ve been working on for the past few months.  Recitals aren’t usually a big deal for Emma.  She enjoys playing for people and she enjoys listening to the other students play their pieces but she hates introducing herself.  I don’t think that she enjoys the applause and praise from everyone either because she’s typically very eager to get away from the piano and back to her seat.  It’s all worth it for her though because after everyone has performed, the teacher gives all of the students giant Symphony bars.  (I think that’s her favorite part.)

So Odd…

This video is definitely the strangest thing that I’ve seen today.  It’s a commercial for a furniture store in High Point, North Carolina.  Push play and you’ll understand.

See what I mean?

Here’s A Little Something

I have been wanting to write some stuff for a few days but my statistics homework has monopolized my time.  I’ll eventually get around to posting some new content that will leave you in awe but until then, enjoy a bit of a history regarding our national debt.

Recommended Viewing

My job allows for me to see all sorts of technology before other people.  It also allows for me to watch television shows and movies on one monitor while I do work on another.  This is very convenient because I am able to stay current on a lot of the shows that I enjoy watching.  I also get to watch a lot of stuff that I wouldn’t otherwise have the time to.  No, I don’t just watch TV all day.  I do get to see an episode here or there though.

One of the shows that I was introduced to by my coworkers is a British comedy called The IT Crowd.  This is a true comedic gem.  It’s about two computer geeks and their female, know-nothing-about-IT boss who work in an  IT department.  They are typical basement dwellers who only come out to fix the things that technically challenged people shouldn’t be using anyway.  They just finished up the third season in the UK and there have been talks of bringing it to the US a la The Office.  (I’m keeping my fingers crossed on this actually happening but it’s probably doubtful that it will.)

Cats…

This video almost makes me want to get a cat.  Almost.  I’m guessing very few cats are cool enough to keep me entertained by jumping face first into a mirror all day every day.

Let’s Be Social

This is a post that I’ve been wanting to write for quite a while but have not been sufficiently motivated to do so.  Now I have a video clip to accompany my words so I’m glad that I waited.  Videos make everything so much better.

Everyone is familiar with MySpace.  I don’t like it.  With all of the half naked ugly chicks, angsty pre-teens, and frat boys, it’s bad enough.  When you add poorly designed pages that should come with seizure warnings into the mix, it becomes completly unbearable.  However, millions of users would probably disagree with me.  For years, it was the leader in social networking sites but that doesn’t change the fact that it makes my eyes want to bleed.

About a year ago, my sister Chelsea, started bugging me and Holly about setting up profiles on Facebook.  After Holly finally capitulated, I decided that I better give in as well.  (I feel shame over caving to peer pressure.)

Evolution Of Dance
