Back To The Wilderness

Those who know us know that we’re avid campers.  We go camping multiple times each summer and hate to see each weekend go by because we know that it’s one less chance for us to go camping.  This year though, I was a bit concerned about going camping because of Lincoln.  In the past, when we’ve taken our babies camping, it’s usually an exhausting experience that involves listing to a baby cry for a few days.  Being the family of campers that we are though, Holly was determined to not going to let a little thing like the potential for a crying baby deter us from sleeping in the wild.

Last Time This Season

family-fishingOver the weekend, we had our final camping trip of the season.  This time we went to Hades campground which is along the banks of the Duchesne River in the Uinta Mountains with my side of the family.  This is a location that we discovered last year.  It immediately became one of our favorite places to set up camp.  When I learned that some of my cousins had never been camping or fishing, I took it upon myself to remedy the situation and organized this family reunion of sorts.  Hades made perfect sense because not only is it beautiful, but the fishing is amazing.

It’s Officially Camping Season

Friday night marked the beginning of the Zohner family camping season.  It also happened to be the annual Fathers and Sons camp out.

Unlike last year, I was able to escape the office early enough to get everything ready to go at a decent time.  Unfortunately, Holly didn’t get off work until 5:30 so Alex and I had to work with Holly’s schedule to ensure that the girls weren’t left alone until she got home.  In an effort to save some time, we met with Holly on our way to Morgan where we said our goodbyes and dropped of Hannah and Emma.  Holly was on her way back from Ogden so it worked out really well and saved us quite a bit of time.
