The Kids Will Love This

Our family is huge fans of the Lego video games.  It started with Lego Star Wars and we’ve played all of them including Indiana Jones, and Batman, and of course Star Wars II.  I can’t even begin to count the number of hours that Alex and Emma have spent playing these games.  They are excellent motivators for them keeping their rooms clean.

Given the various licenses that Lego has acquired for their toy line, I knew that it was only a matter of time before we started seeing more video games.  I was right.  Next year we’ll be treated to Harry Potter Years 1-4.  I’m excited so I can imagine how excited Alex and Emma will be when they hear the news.

How Does She Not Know?

Everybody knows that I’m a huge Star Wars fan.  Because it has always been such a large part of my life, I sometimes forget that other people know nothing about it.  I stumbled across this video today and couldn’t believe what I saw.  Granted it was pretty funny but the geek in me is very embarrassed for this girl.

The Clone Wars Reviewed

Thanks to my friend Carl, this morning I was able to attend an advanced screening of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. For those who know me, you know that I’m a big Star Wars geek so being able to see the movie a whole week before it’s released was awesome. (I think that it should help my geek cred. Maybe +5?)

I’m too lazy to write a plot synopsis so here is one from allmovie.com.

I Hate Movies

That’s not exactly true. While I like watching movies, I hate going to the theater to watch them. Not all theaters are bad but there is one in Layton that makes me shudder at the thought of going to the movies.

There is a new theater in Syracuse that opened over the weekend so on Friday night Holly and I went to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It was a fun movie but not as good as the other three. Well, it may be a bit better than Temple of Doom but that’s up for debate. Holly thought that it was the best movie in the franchise. I won’t go so far as to say that but I definitely recommend going to see it.
