It’s Burning Again

Last year I wrote a post about how California was on fire.  Well, the more things change, the more they stay the same because once again the great state of California is burning.  It’s a year later and people still haven’t learned.

Since I don’t really have anything new to add to this topic, I’ll let the fine folks from The Onion do it for me.

Nature’s Revenge

If you haven’t heard, California is currently on fire… Again. Right now, all of the millionaires in Malibu are being evacuated from their homes so that they don’t toast up like the soy marshmallows in their cupboards.

Am I the only person who is curious as to what goes through the minds of the people who build their home in the hills of Malibu? These are the people who build multi-million dollar homes 3.2 inches from the edge of a cliff then act surprised when it slides into the ocean. These are also the people who tell us that Mother Earth is angry with us for mistreating her with our SUVs and controlled burns designed to prevent wild fires. I have a question. If Mother Earth is so angry with the SUV drivers, then why does she constantly give people in Southern California, and their hybrid car driving, non-meat eating ways, a beating in the form of nearly every natural disaster imaginable?
