Daniel R. Zohner, loving husband, father and grandfather, died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Paul on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, of heart failure.
He was born July 10, 1923, in Cedron, to Jacob and Polly Christina Miller Zohner, the third son of 11 children. He graduated from Teton High School and then attended Utah State Agricultural College. Dan served in the United States Army during World War II as a paratrooper in 11th Airborne in the Pacific Theater. Upon his return, he completed his bachelor’s degree at Utah State.
He married Fern Zollinger on Aug. 4, 1948, in the Logan LDS Temple and they were blessed with four children, Lynn Zohner (Emmy), Annette Warburton (Paul), Sheri Walters (Randy) and Kris Katoa (Amaile).
