Today as I was eating my breakfast, I was visiting my usual morning websites when I came across one of the most amazing articles on global warming I’ve read in a long time. It was written by the founder of The Weather Channel, John Coleman. It’s a long article but it’s well worth the read.
You can go here to check it out but, for your convenience, I’ve included it below.
Global Warming and the Price of a Gallon of Gas
by John Coleman
You may want to give credit where credit is due to Al Gore and his global warming campaign the next time you fill your car with gasoline, because there is a direct connection between Global Warming and four dollar a gallon gas. It is shocking, but true, to learn that the entire Global Warming frenzy is based on the environmentalist’s attack on fossil fuels, particularly gasoline. All this big time science, international meetings, thick research papers, dire threats for the future; all of it, comes down to their claim that the carbon dioxide in the exhaust from your car and in the smoke stacks from our power plants is destroying the climate of planet Earth. What an amazing fraud; what a scam.
Nothing gets me madder quicker than hearing a politician tell me that the planet is going to spontaneously explode in a huge ball of flame due to somebody driving a big SUV. Especially when said politician flies all over the world in private jets.
I’ve gone over the fallacy of global warming before so I won’t do it again. However, I have recently come across some information that proves to me that global warming is a load of crap being perpetuated by cultists that are striving for a one world government.
The main thing that recently got my attention was a scientist on a national radio show saying that the average global temperature has not increased for nine years. I wanted to find a reliable source to back this up and came across this article from 2006. Basically it says that global warming stopped in 1998. For the global warming crowd, this is bad news. Since there’s scientific evidence that the Earth is not warming, man-made global warming can’t be happening.
I’m so sick of all the crap that the media spews about global warming being caused by humans, specifically the U.S. I have posted my thoughts on this issue previously so I won’t get too much into my reasoning for thinking it’s all a bunch of hype. I do however want to point out a few things about the Live Earth concerts that took place over the weekend since I’m feeling like exposing some hypocrites today.
I have a lot of issues with the whole global warming culture. It’s main belief is that we as humans are the cause of global warming. Despite the fact that science is still out on this, we are led to believe that there is a consensus in the scientific community that humans are ruining the Earth. I don’t necessarily disagree with that but I take exception to comments that we are the sole cause that the world is heating up. What about farting cows?
How’s that for an opening volley? I feel like being controversial today so here’s my thoughts on global warming.
Let me start by saying that I like the outdoors. I enjoy camping and fishing and riding my bike. I dislike being able to see the air that I breathe and don’t particularly enjoy drinking dirty water.
In my Tree Hugging 101 class, we recently watched Al Gore’s award winning film on global warming called An Inconvenient Truth. I strongly disagree with Mr. Gore’s politics but I still sat in the class doing my best to have an open mind. While I agree with certain points that he illustrates, like that the Earth’s climate is changing, I think that there is also a lot of pseudo-science and just plain crap in the movie.
For my major, I am required to take an environmental appreciation class. I think that the emphasis should be placed on the mental in environmental. The majority of what this class entails is sitting around being indoctrinated about the evils of global warming (I’m not convinced but I’ll save that for another day), the evils of cows (tell that to the population of India), and the evils of fertilizers and pesticides.
I no longer answer questions in this class. I think it has something to do with a comment about how we should all be driving big SUVs. That didn’t go over too well.
On Wednesday night in class, my professor was discussing how horrible fertilizers and pesticides are for the environment. It reminded me that I need to fertilize my lawn this weekend. That’s what I’m planning on doing today.
