A Small Update
After months of being told that I need to post pictures of Emma’s baptism, I finally have. You can check them out in the Gallery. Remember, it’s password protected so if you don’t know the magic words, you’ll need to contact me.

Some of you may have noticed some changes to our gallery page. I’ve recently started using the NextGEN Gallery plugin for Wordpress. I like it much better than Coppermine which is what I was using before. When combined with the WP lightbox 2 plugin, it makes a very nice gallery.
At Holly’s request, I’ve also re-enabled the password protection on the page. It’s not 100% secure since I currently have a random preview image showing in the sidebar, but it should help keep unwanted visitors from lingering a bit too long.
To go along with this new gallery format, I’ve added pictures from Halloween and Nick and Chelsea’s wedding. I’ve also added a pic of me feeding a mouse to an owl and some random images of the kids. If you would like to check them out, and don’t remember the page password, please feel free to use the contact page to let us know that you want to see things. Or, you can just give us a call and we can tell you. Whatever is easier for you.
I finally have accomplished something with this site that I have wanted to do for nearly a year: I successfully configured Rob Miller’s Now Reading plugin so that we can share our library with you. This plugin allows us to show you what books we are reading, have recently read, and hope to read in the near future. You can also view the book’s details on Amazon.com. I like it because it shows yet another glimpse into the Zohner family and what we do with our time.
I’ve tried more than once to get this plugin configured to work with my site properly but have always failed miserably. I’ve come close a few times to getting it perfect but close was never good enough for me. This time however, my cousin Josh and a person from Spain named Juan, a.k.a. Judas, that I found in the Now Reading Forums me out. Thanks to both of them for all of their patience with me and my sometimes stupid questions.
Since Holly finished up her first year of nursing school on Wednesday, she thought that it would be fun to go on a little vacation during her week and a half break. You see, she starts her RN year next week and wanted to do more than just sit at home doing nothing during her time off. I agreed with her and so the planning began.
Since neither of us had ever been to Zions National Park or Bryce Canyon National Park, we decided that we should take a road trip through Utah and enjoy some of the beautiful scenery that this state has to offer. We booked our hotels and I told my boss I was leaving for a few days, then we loaded up the van and started driving.
Some of you may have noticed that the website has been down for the past few days. There was a mix-up with our host but it’s been straightened out now.
We made it back from our road trip through Southern Utah in one piece. Just barely though. We took lots of pictures and have lots of stories to share. I’ll do this in another post hopefully later today.
I had a beautiful post all ready to go in my head about Earth Day and how it was probably conceived by a bunch of hippies sitting in a drum circle and how no good idea ever came from getting high but then I got busy trying to set up a test server and forgot all of my main talking points. Since my probably hurtful slams on hippies has escaped my mind, I’m going to call your attention to our new poll instead. It’s actually been up for a while but I don’t think many people have noticed since there’s only been a few votes.
For those that don’t know, the same website may appear different depending on what browser you use. I’ve had a number of problems getting my site to appear correctly in Internet Explorer but it always looks good in Firefox. So my question to you is this: what browser do you use?
You may have noticed that I have a new link under our ‘Favorite Blogs’ on the right side of the page. It’s for Stolen Droids, a joint venture between me and some of my former geek coworkers. Basically, it’s where we can talk hardcore geek stuff without offending our wives. I’m pretty sure that Holly doesn’t care about The Endor Holocaust so I put my thoughts on it over there.
If you are interested in seeing what geeks talk about, go check it out.
I have gone through and fixed the website. At least it should be fixed. I’m not seeing any problems on my end but if you are, let me know.
I had to take down all of my widgets and re-write all of the code that you see manifested in the sidebars. If anybody knows a lot about WordPress programming and wants to help me figure out why my widgets don’t work in Internet Explorer, your help would be very welcome and appreciated.
