I have to admit that I’m a huge Sarah Palin fan. Ever since I heard that she was going to sue over the decision to list the polar bear as endangered, I’ve been a fan.
When I heard that John McCain had decided to pick Governor Palin as his running mate, I was elated. Then I heard her acceptance speech. What’s more than elated? Whatever it is, that’s what I was. And then she spoke at the Republican National Convention last night.
I don’t know if it’s possible for me to be more impressed with this woman. She appears to be a true conservative that doesn’t like big government. She also says that we need to start domestic drilling which shows me that she has a grasp on the impending energy crisis that the country is facing. Add to all of that, she’s not from Washington. In fact, she’s about as far from outside of the beltway as I can imagine. I like that.
Barack Obama has been saying that he’ll bring change to Washington. He then proceeded to choose a running mate that has been in Washington since Sarah Palin was nine-years-old. Plus, Joe Biden has been wrong on every major issue from the Cold War to the Iraq War and everything in between. How is he going to bring change? Oh right, he’s a socialist. Socialism is change.
Liberals keep saying that Sarah Palin has no experience. As I look at things, being mayor and then govenor provides more executive experience than being a senator or community organizer does. As far as I’m concerned, she has more executive experience than everybody else on both tickets combined.
For a long time, I was very disgrunteled with my options in the upcoming election. In fact, I was even considering voting for the Libertarian candidate, Bob Barr. I’ll now gladly vote for McCain/Palin. Not because I like John McCain, because I don’t, but because of Sarah Palin and the conserative ideals that she brings to the table. She is truly a Mrs. Smith goes to Washington.
