Outbreak
We’ve had a bit of a rough time lately with our health. If I recall correctly, Alex was exposed to something a few months ago. Now, every week somebody new seems to be sick.
I’ve determined that having three little outbreak monkeys, a wife that is surrounded by outbreak monkeys every time she does a clinical, and me working with an outbreak monkey means that there’s a good chance that we’re going to get sick. It’s like our life is a pinball game and the virus that we keep getting is just banging around, racking up points each time one of us goes down. Stupid flippers…
Alex, Hannah, and I all spent Easter weekend sick. Instead of looking for Easter eggs, we were all in a NyQuil induced sleep. Well, I was anyways. The kids had to settle for children’s Motrin. Now, we’re all trying to get over this nasty bug that refuses to die.
Holly was sick a few weeks ago with the same thing and warned me that my sinuses would be the next thing to hate me. About 11:00 today, I discovered that she was right. My forehead feels as though it’s going to explode. Dang her and her all-knowing ways!
Needless to say, not a lot has been accomplished over the past week or so. The basement is still begging to have the rest of the insulation installed and my lawn is now demanding attention. Hopefully life will return to normal by the weekend. That should be just in time for Emma to get sick and start the cycle over again.
