Today I had an interview with Battelle. They are a company that does IT contract work on Hill Air Force Base. I was originally introduced to them last fall when my neighbor quit his job there and recommended me as his replacement. I interviewed and did well but not well enough because I didn’t get the job.
A few weeks ago, I noticed that Battelle had an opening for the same position that I had previously interviewed for. I didn’t really have anything to lose so I sent in my resume. Surprise! I got an interview!
I wasn’t really sure how to approach this particular interview since I have already gone through this process with this company. I basically just went in and answered everything to the best of my ability. On a few of the answers, the gentlemen who were interviewing me told me that they liked my answers. That’s good, right?
Overall, I think that I did OK. I’m not really sure what to think though since the last time I interviewed, I was confident that I would get the job. This time, I’m not quite so confident. Maybe I’m just a little bit gun-shy. Hopefully I’ll hear something back in the next week or so.
I really want this job.
