As I promised in an earlier post, once there was news regarding Jericho, I would post it here. Well, there’s news and if you can’t guess by the title of this post, it’s coming back. CBS has agreed to renew the show next season for a seven episode run. That’s not a lot but it’s a beginning. Once they see that fans love this show, like they haven’t already, they’ll renew it for a full season.
This has been one of the largest protests regarding a canceled television show. In the end, more than 25 tons of nuts were received by CBS offices in both L.A. and New York. Combined with the countless phone calls, emails, postcards, letters, and faxes, they really had no choice but to listen to the fans and bring Jericho back for a second season
Even though fans got what we wanted, a chance at a second season, this is not over. We need to show CBS that we are willing to sit down and watch Jericho. We need to also bring in new viewers. I’ve done what I can by telling people about the show and I’ve even gotten my little sister hooked thanks to the CBS website. If you haven’t seen any episodes and wonder what the big deal is, go check them out for yourself. You’ll be glad you did.
