Today was so busy. I got up at my normal 2:20 AM and headed off to work. While I was there, I started thinking of all of the things that needed to be done today and realized that I was in for a busy time.
Holly was also thinking of all that needed to be done and went crazy cleaning the house. When I got home from work, it looked amazing. She was busy cleaning while I was busy fixing computers. She’s such a good wife.
My lawn looks like a neglected portion of the Amazon and it’s only been 10 days since I last mowed it. I guess all of the rain over the past week did it some good. When I got home, Holly helped me tame it a bit. I did the mowing while she did some edging and weeding. I then took over the edging. Right now it’s being watered and hopefully sometime this week I can get some fertilizer on it.
Once the lawn was taken care of, I headed off to get my haircut. When I finished, Holly was waiting for me in the parking lot. She had picked up Emma from school and they decided that it would be fun to get some food and go to the park. Before we could do that though, I had to go get some information from the university so we did that then stopped at Gandolfo’s for sandwiches. Yum!
There is a park in Kaysville known as Castle Park. It has to have one of the coolest playgrounds that I’ve ever seen – it’s a huge castle! We ate our sandwiches there and then played with the kids. I discovered that Hannah loves me pushing her on the swings but really s me sending her down the slides. The kids played and we all had fun.
When we got home, we had a little Mother’s Day project to take care of. I don’t want to give anything away but it’s really cool. Well, at least the ones that I didn’t work on. Mine look like a retarded monkey got loose and hijacked some paint. I’m not sure which mother will end up with the one that I did but I apologize in advance. ![]()
Right now we are trying to get the kids to bed. It’s 8:30 PM and I have to get up for work in six hours. Lost is on in 30 minutes though so I won’t be going to sleep before 10. Unless of course I fall asleep watching TV which seems to happen a lot since I passed the age of 30.
