The movie starts out with everything going great for Peter Parker. He is doing well in school and his relationship with Mary Jane is wonderful, and Spiderman is the darling of
The villains in this movie are great. First there is the Sandman who I thought was amazing. The special effects used to create him were awesome. We also see a new Green Goblin. I personally could have done without him. Norman Osborne was scary even without his mask on. His son, Harry, just doesn’t have that same effect on me. Finally we have Venom. For those who don’t know, Venom is one of Spiderman’s most dangerous foes. He’s black with sharp teeth and full of hate when it comes to Spiderman.
There is one more villain that Spiderman has to face: himself. When Peter’s life starts to take a turn for the worse, he begins to battle his inner demons. He also gets a little too angsty for my taste but Holly didn’t mind that. In fact, she thought it was pretty funny. I just found it embarrassing.
The movie is pretty long at 139 minutes but it probably could have been a few minutes longer. There is a lot going on what with three villains, a love triangle, a perceived love triangle, and an angst-ridden Peter Parker. In the end, it’s not a perfect movie. But it’s a really good movie. If you are a fan of the first two Spiderman films or if you love the character or comic, you’ll probably love this. If you enjoy good movies, you’ll probably have a good time seeing this particular movie on the big screen. If you have a love for gothy looking guys going through identity crises, you better run to your nearest theater and buy a ticket now.
