I left for Provo on Wednesday. I drove down with my neighbor Rebecca. We stopped in Salt Lake at a store called NPS but she calls Market Square. It is a huge warehouse that has a grocery section, a furniture section, a clothing section of things that are pulled from stores because they have been late on shipments or they have dented packaging on the sell by date is coming up. The prices are ridiculously low. I also brought my coupons and several things were free because of the coupon. We bought more than enough food for us to eat down at Women’s Conference and I only spent $11 and that included three lipsticks that I bought. It was fun to see how much money we could save.
We got down to the dorms that night and met up with our other friends. It was fun staying up all night and playing games and talking. The next day was awesome going around to the different classes and listening to the different speakers. I sang in the choir for opening session and that was a really good experience. That night we had a luau and has some really good food and did some service by putting together hygiene kits and tying blankets. I also stitched around a blanket. It was really fun.
We went to classes again the next day and I decided to come home Friday night so I could see Jeremiah and the kids instead of leaving Saturday morning like the rest of my friends. It was nice hanging out with the family Friday night and Saturday morning because Saturday afternoon I had to go to work at my new job.
I worked until 11:00 pm and then slept there in one of the sleep rooms that they have at the hospital because I had to be back to work at 7:00 am. I worked Sunday morning until 3:00 in the afternoon and just as I was leaving I was surprised to see my cousin walk in. She was very pregnant and was ready to have her baby. It was fun to see her there. I came home and had a great night with my family. Being away from them this much has made me miss them very much and appreciate them more.
