I got a call today regarding the interview that I had with Goldman Sachs on Monday. Apparently I impressed the interviewer and he wants me to now meet with the regional manager. Sometime within the next two days, I’ll likely be taking part in an interview-style conference call. I may also be meeting with the regional manger face to face but I’m not sure about that yet. The impression that I was left with is that I have a good shot at getting the job. WOO-HOO!
UPDATE: I got a call call today. The regional manager will be available on May 14th and wants to meet with me then.

My cousin Josh posted a blog on his website a couple of days ago about how he was updating his LinkedIn profile. For those who aren’t familiar with this service, it’s kind of like MySpace without angsty teens, awful grammar, and horribly designed pages. From what I can tell, it’s a very professional environment where business professionals go to be seen and increase the size of their personal networks.
In his post, Josh discusses how he heard about LinkedIn and why he uses it. He also links to some good articles, including one in Wikipedia that discusses what it is and this one that discusses how this service can be used to one’s benefit. (I recommend that you check out Josh’s entire webiste. He has lots of good stuff on it.)
