I went to the doctor today for yet another post-op check-up. Even though I don’t have my voice fully back yet, he cleared me to return to work so tomorrow morning at 2:10 my alarm will go off and my life will hopefully return to some semblance of normality.
As I mentioned a while back, Holly got a new job in labor and delivery. The job is at Cottonwood Hospital which is farther than she currently travels. (She works at LDS Hospital.) Before that job offer came, she had been in discussions with the LDS Hospital labor and delivery manager about picking up a few shifts a month there while still keeping her current job in central processing. Well, that job came through and so she’s not going to Cottonwood. She’s going to stay at LDS and work a few shifts here and there doing baby stuff.
Holly is really excited that she doesn’t have to quit her current job. There are a lot of aspects about it that she really enjoys. The best thing about this scenario is that now she has her foot in the door of labor and delivery. When she gets out of nursing school, assuming that she gets accepted in January which is looking good, she’ll hopefully be able to start working as a nurse in that department.
