I know it’s a day late but give me a break; I’m recovering from surgery here. Speaking of which, the recovery is going slow. I have little to no voice and lots and lots of pain/discomfort. Enough about me though. I wanted to tell about my weekend.
On Saturday Holly took the kids to the park next to our house for a neighborhood easter egg hunt. Apparently they had close to 4.6 billion eggs there to accommodate the 3.9 billion children in our neighborhood. All of the kids seemed to enjoy themselves but Emma was a bit disappointed at the fact that she only got a few eggs.
After the neighborhood hunt, we all piled into the van and drove into Layton for another egg hunt. This time, Emma scored big time and all of the kids got lots of eggs which are now rolling around the back of the van. (I think it’s time to clean the van out again.)
Emma’s birthday was on Friday but since I was doped up and Holly had to work, we decided to celebrate it Saturday afternoon. Emma had a bunny cake and Grandma Merrill and Chelsea came over. Emma got some K’Nex, the game Guess Who?, and a Batman shirt which she wore to school today.
Easter Sunday was pretty standard. Holly took the kids to church alone since I am still “incapacitated” while I stayed home and slept. Not much else happened but it nice to spend the weekend with family.
