After being distracted by business of the holidays, We’re finally trying to get back into some sort of a routine. I started school this week so I’ll be gone a couple of nights a week but it’s better than having a class every afternoon that I have to rush from work to get to only to realize that I’ve missed most of the semester by the time it’s all done. I’m taking a Java programming class and an environmental appreciation class in addition to an introduction to my department. (I’ve almost got a degree so I figured it’s time to knock that one out of the way.) Some good news is that I don’t have to take math. I was able to test high enough to get out of all required math classes.
I keep telling myself, and Holly, that I will show her how to update this site. It will be nice having two sets of hands working on it instead of just mine. Also, I realize that some people are having problems with the gallery not displaying the large images. I’m trying to figure this out, I just need time so please be patient. There’s a lot on this site that still needs done and I’ll get to it eventually. I’m not 100% happy with it right now; hopefully that will change soon.
In an earlier blog, I hinted towards job changes for me. I ended up interviewing for a job on the base but didn’t get it. I felt like I did well and it paid a lot more money than I currently make but, surprisingly, I wasn’t too disappointed. I’m pretty happy at Unisys and they just gave me the employee of the month. I’m in a position where I’m getting known by the boss-men and I have a feeling some good stuff will happen to me there. I’ll just have to wait and see.
