Yesterday I went out rabbit hunting with some friends. I know that when you read that sentence, combined with the title of this post, you thought to yourself “That dummy, Jeremiah shot himself in the leg.” If that was your first thought, you are wrong. I did hurt my leg but that’s a different story for another time. Maybe later in the post.
Anyways, we took my friend John’s red tailed hawk out to try and catch a few rabbits. It was snowing with a very cold wind so we wondered if we’d even see any rabbits. There were lots of tracks in the snow and after about an hour of walking around a huge field, our friend Adam saw one. He pointed it out to John but the bird saw it, and before anybody else knew what was happening, she was chasing down the bunny. She swooped down and missed. That, my friends, is where the fun began.

I feel so old. As I look around me, I see things that make me “old man angry.” The kind of stuff that causes people to say things like “back in my day…” and “when I was your age…” It’s terrible.
Just the other day I was telling my sister that back in my day when we wanted to speak with somebody, we called them on the phone; there was none of this text messaging business. Also, we knew how to spell properly. If we mixed numbers in with letters to form words, we were reading license plates, not communicating with friends. We had to spell entire sentences and that’s how we liked it.

Well, the presents are open and the kids are playing with new toys. I thought that I’d take a minute as I rip Hannah Montana and High School Musical onto our computer for Emma and wish everybody a very happy Christmas.
The kids woke up bright and early today. Too early in fact; it was about 6:00 am. We opened presents and everybody seems pretty pleased with their haul. It was fun to see the kids so excited. We tried to take turns opening presents but things eventually broke down into chaos as the kids got tired of waiting to see what everybody else got before they could open more. Despite the mess, it was a lot of fun.
There were a lot of DVDs given today. I can’t wait to watch my copy of Weird Al Live. I’ll be fighting for the DVD player though with the kids. It seems like we have about 500 movies to watch now. It’s gonna be a busy week.

I decided to throw a new poll up on the site for your voting enjoyment. For those who care, more of our readers like blue cheese than those who don’t.
This time, I’m asking if you’ve got your Christmas shopping done. For the record, we do. I think. I don’t plan on entering a store with the intent of buying presents until next year. Things may change but I think that we’re done. Now vote.
Is you Christmas shopping done?

I’ve been wanting to post a new blog for a bit but haven’t really had the chance. Work has been very busy and I haven’t been getting on the computer when I get home at night. As I was driving home tonight from work, I was thinking about what I would write about. I really had no idea.
On the radio, they were discussing how Brittney Spears’ little sister is pregnant. (Way to go Brittney’s mom! I love how you’ve let your kids go to crap.) I could post about that but the jokes come too easily and I would probably get mean. My general dislike for celebrity and the fascination that America has with it would make for a funny but not very nice blog.

Emma recently wrote a letter to Santa in school. Actually, it’s not to Santa, it’s to Kristkindl. According to Emma, he’s Germany’s version of Santa.
Today Holly found the letter in the front window. I think that this German Santa enters houses through windows instead of chimneys. The most likely reason that he doesn’t do that here is because it’s called breaking and entering. I guess that it’s OK in Germany though. It’s definitely a lot easer to go through the window than down a narrow chimney. Especially if you’re a fat guy. I know that I wouldn’t want to go down a chimney when a window is readily available.
The letter was so amazing that I thought that I’d post it here for all to see.
Dear Kristkirol I was good all year. I would like a dog a toy tiger. If you see a little boy in the house, he was bad. I want a draw book. From Emma Zohner

Well, it has been a great semester. I am glad that it is almost over. I have two more finals next week and then I have two weeks off for Christmas and then I am back to school on January 2nd. I have really enjoyed my clinicals at the hospital. I am amazed at how much I have learned in such a short amount of time. I never thought that I would be comfortable and confident giving people shots but now I can say that I am. Next semester I will be learning how to do IVs. Yikes. Talk about scary. It is awesome to know that by this time next year, I will be an R.N. The kids are doing great and are looking forward to Christmas. I hope all of you have a great Christmas and I will keep you posted.

I recently acquired a copy of the newest game in the SimCity franchise, SimCity Societies. I loaded it with no problems and started playing. It’s a great concept but very different from the previous SimCity games. There were problems with the game crashing at random though.
After doing a lot of research on the issue, I discovered that there is a memory leak in the game. There are also numerous other bugs that cause the game to crash. I figured that EA would release a patch to fix these problems but, as of right now, fans are still waiting. No big deal. The game was still playable even with the crashes.
